It does not fit me properly, and the hip belt like you said is lacking in padding. I want to switch to a proper backpacking pack, but I really don want to lose the things I love about the LAPG. I have seen some with webbing on the outside that would work well enough I guess, but they all have that top loading one compartment tube style design and that just seems like such a pain in the ass Like, I keep my food on the bottom cause its usually the heaviest thing I carrying and you supposed to put the heaviest stuff on bottom right So with a regular style backpacking pack you have to unload the entire thing for every meal How do people cope with thatDo you have any advice for meDo you have any advice for meThat why I went with the Kelty packs I mentioned in my previous comment.
